The Promise, in One Paragraph
If any work Novak Lock & Security performed doesn’t hold up within 90 days of your service date, we come back, we fix it, and we charge you nothing to do it. No forms. No fees. No receipt hunt. We have the job on file. This is a plain-English commitment from Daniel Novak and every independently operated Novak crew across all 33 states – not fine print, not a marketing line buried in asterisks. Just the work, done right, or done again.
What’s Covered
- Our workmanship, on every job we performed. If a lock we installed binds, a rekey we completed doesn’t turn cleanly, or an emergency repair we made fails – that’s on us, and we’ll be back.
- Parts we supplied and installed. Hardware, cylinders, deadbolts, and components we sourced and fitted are covered for 90 days from the service date.
- A return visit at no charge. If something isn’t right, the repeat trip costs you nothing – no call-out fee, no minimum charge, nothing added to the invoice.
- A full redo when a repair doesn’t hold. If the fix didn’t fix it, we don’t patch it again – we reassess and do it properly.
- The space we worked in, left as we found it. Every technician clears their work area before they leave; if cleanup is needed on a return visit, that’s included too.
- The written price you were quoted. If we owe you a return visit, the job on file is what governs – the price is already there, and it doesn’t change.
What Isn’t Covered

- Damage caused after our visit by weather, accident, or force. A door swollen from flooding or a lock struck during a break-in attempt is a new problem, not a workmanship issue – though we’re glad to come assess it.
- Work performed by another person or company after we left. If someone else adjusted, removed, or reinstalled any part of what we did, we can’t stand behind the outcome.
- Parts or hardware the customer supplied. We’ll install what you bring, but we can’t cover material we didn’t source, inspect, or warrant.
- Normal wear on equipment we didn’t install. Existing hardware that was aging before we arrived falls outside this promise – though if we flagged it during our visit, you’ll see it in the documented photo record we left with you.
- Problems the customer declined to have corrected when we recommended the repair. If our technician noted an issue and you chose to defer it, that’s a fair and reasonable call – this promise covers what we were hired to do, not what we advised doing.
- Cosmetic wear that doesn’t affect function. A scratch on a strike plate or surface finish that comes from normal use isn’t a workmanship failure. If it bothers you anyway, call us – we’ll take a look.
How to Use the Promise
Step 1: Call (331) 310-8471 or book online.
A live person answers every call, around the clock. Tell them you’re calling about a return visit and they’ll pull your job file before the conversation gets past the first minute. There’s no form to fill out and no case number to track down.
Step 2: Tell us the job and roughly when it was done.
We document every visit – the date, the technician, the work performed, and the parts installed. You don’t need a receipt; we have the record. A first name and an address is typically enough to find it.
Step 3: We schedule the return visit.
We’ll confirm a real time window and send you the technician’s name before they arrive. No vague “sometime Tuesday” – the same scheduling standard that applied to the original visit applies here.
Step 4: We make it right.
The technician arrives, reviews what we documented on the first visit, and corrects the issue. When the job is done, they leave you an updated photo record, same as always. The invoice for a covered return visit reads zero.
Timing

The 90-day window opens on your original service date and closes 90 days later. If you notice something on day 91 and call us on day 92, we’re not going to recite the calendar at you – we’ll come look, and we’ll be reasonable about what we find. Every Novak location is independently owned and operated, and every one of them has agreed to honor this promise as a condition of carrying the Novak name. The promise isn’t headquarter-level language that the local crew hasn’t read. It’s the thing they signed up to.
Questions About the Promise
If anything about your job, your return visit, or this commitment isn’t clear, call (331) 310-8471. A real person answers. They know the promise, they have your job on file, and they can tell you in plain language what happens next – no hold music required.
